The Manga Nippon Mukashibanashi have livened many stories of the Japanese people that are still remembered by most of them for their great episodes. The music score of this favorite anime was produced by several well-known musicians including Asei Kobayashi and Joe Hisaishi.

The children's song Humans are Nice was played at the end of the series and it is still being used for parodies and cultural references. This anime was first aired on 7 January 1975 and every episode will be 24 minutes long compared to other anime on this list.

6. Kirin Ashita no Calendar - 1498 episodes

This cheerful anime series suitable for families aired on MBS TV and TBS TV and ended in October 1984. This series showed the story of Cathy the cat and her friend the mice who are constantly teaching the viewers various historic events.

This anime series was created by Fujiko F. Fujio as a replacement for the previous series which has the same name. The manga version of this series started out in 1969 in the children's magazine and tells the story to viewers about a robot cat named Doraemon that travels to the past to help a kid named Nobita Nobi.

4. Ojarumaru - 1791 episodes

Rin Inumaru created this series and aired it on NHK E-Tele starting in October 1998. Ojarumaru Sakanoue who was 5 years old happens to be the Heian prince in the imaginary world. He suddenly appeared in Japan in the future and lived with a family there while battling 3 onis occasionally.

Ojarumaru was considered spoiled and very lazy but also has a weird personality. He has a good choice of words when talking to people but seems ancient due to his origins and he referred to himself as Maro. 

This anime was first aired on 5 October 1998 with each episode being 10 minutes long.

3. Oyako Club - 1818 episodes

This family series anime has gotten attention all over Japan for 20 years before it ended. Oyako Club has been created by Eiken which is based in Arakawa, Tokyo. Eiken was previously known as the Television Corporation of Japan and it is the same studio that created favorite anime like Cooking Papa and Sazae-san.

Eiken is a subsidiary company owned by Asatsu-DK, an advertising agency based in Japan. The character in Oyako CLub uses the voice of a popular actor, Mami Watanabe. The first episode of this anime was aired on 3 October 1994 with an average episode duration of 5 minutes.

2. Nintama Rantarō - 2158 episodes

ō the Ninja Boy or Ninja boy Rantaro. It introduces several unique anachronisms for the comedy effects and the protagonist Rantarō who went to a school that serves the purpose of helping young ninjas train to become better people.

Sazae-san is the longest anime series in the world with a huge 7701 episodes. Sazae-san is the caring protagonist that lived together with his family including his parents and siblings. This anime was first aired back on 5 October 1969 with every episode being 7 minutes long.

Different type of episodes was made so that they can be watched repeatedly or freely and it features many scenarios that were inspired by their daily lives. Sazae-san was originally published in the Fukunichi Shinabun, the local newspaper.
