5. Challenger 2, United Kingdom
Owned and used by the United Kingdom, the Challenger 2 tank has been serving in the army since 1998. It has been used in many wars mainly in Iraq. The Challenger 2 weighs 65 tonnes and is able to occupy 4 crews. 

The main weapon of this deadly tank will be its 120mm cannon with 48 turns with every load as well as its 7.62mm rifle and, machine gun. It also has been used by Oman and the tank itself was designed by an English company, Vickers in 1986.

The price of the tank can reach £4,217,000 a unit.

4. K2 Black Panther, South Korea
Despite only being deployed recently in 2014, the K2 Black Panther is one of the best tanks ever owned by South Korea. With an estimated cost of $8.5 million per unit, this might be the best tank ever to be produced if it was compared to the Merkava IV and Leopard 2A6.

The AMX 56 Leclerc manage to top the list of the most expensive tanks in the world. This tank was first used in 1993 by the French army and it is still being used in many wars to this day. The main conflict it was involved in was Yemen.

Originally, it was designed by GIAT Industries and is now being replaced by Nexter which is a French company. As many as 860 units were produced and it is now on hold since there was no point in producing more.

With a weight of up to 55 tonnes, its main weaponry will be the 120mm cannon and unlike other tanks, its body is made of modular composite armor using tungsten, titanium, and layers of semi-reactive. 

The tank can occupy 3 crews and it has a hefty price of $9.3 million.

1. Type 10, Japan
This tank will be the most expensive tank in the world. The Type 10 tank is proudly owned by the Rising Sun and is the 4th generation of tanks worth a whopping $11.3 million. It has served the Japanese army since 2012 and was specifically designed by the Mitsubishi company.

The weight of the Type 10 tank is 45 tonnes which is much lighter than the other tanks mentioned. For that reason, it is only capable of fitting 3 crews. The body is made out of Nano-crystal steel as well as ceramic modular composite armor. for that extra durability.

Its main weapon will be the 120mm automatic cannon and the 12.7mm and 7.62mm machine gun. This tank replaces the Type 74 and Type 90 tanks being better and stronger. The inside of this tank is much more spacious than any other tank out there.
